man united - arsenal
game is just 3 hours away.
the only negative point to take away is that Arsenal's captain will not be playing.
hamstring injury's the cause of it.

Well well well,
it's been a long first semester in RP.
so a 5-week holiday from now would probably do enough justice to this.
sadly, we also bid our farewells to class W45B.
it's kinda hard to do so as i simply love this class to bits.
the ending today was too abrupt, i would say.
kudos to these people who attended today's outing.

Manchester United vs Arsenal's on this sunday morning 12.15am.
the BIG one.

some people would just do anything to blend in with the crowd. for me, i'd rather you take a step back, be a man and do the right thing.

Bolt From The Blue.

this time, a legend is born.
or maybe it was already born during the 2008 Olympics.
Usain Bolt IS the world's fastest man.
he hails from Jamaica, supposedly the country where the fastest people are.

Fact #1:
TWO world records in 5 days.
not personal bests, not your local school's record and lastly, not national records.
But, WORLD records.
namely, 9.58 s in the 100m and 19.19 s in the 200m
AMAZING OR WHAT?!

Fact #2:
This guy is 1.96m.
tall enough to be a great goalkeeper.
tall enough to be a NBA basketballer.
TALL ENOUGH to be the world's fastest man.
talk about 'low centre of gravity'. *chuckles*

Fact #3:
this lad's favourite food is CHICKEN NUGGETS.
oh my, how i wish i could eat these all day long and yet become an unbeatable world-class sprinter.

i'm a fan of usain bolt. :DDDD
amazingly fast.

Squirrel Spoiler.

Before you wonder what's wrong with this picture, let me show you the description.

According to a news report by cbcnews.ca, Melissa Brandts had set up her camera to take an automatic picture of her and her husband Jackson. After the camera started its countdown with some audible clicking, the Brandts sat down together in front of a lake.

As they waited for the camera to shoot the photo, a curious squirrel came out of nowhere and stood up in front of the camera to see what the clicking sound was all about.

Then the camera clicked the photo and the squirrel was the one in focus while the Brandts remained in the background, out of focus but looking quite amused. The squirrel had appeared to want to be the center of the photo.
awesomely cute~

on the running track, Usain Bolt did it YET again.
9.58secs for the 100m.

awesomely fast~

Delight.

First thing in the morning.
it was 11.13am and i was fast asleep.
BUT came two completely unexpected visitors.
well, shan't name them.
turns out they were here for soccer and some 'lepak-ing'.

Understanding Tests 3 starts on the 19th, finishes on the 25th.
and there hasn't been any motivation for me to start mugging.
someone, please knock some sense into me. :D

And there wasn't any fairy-tale ending to the Singapore-China match.
the 0-5 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool FC didn't not do the reputation of the national team any favour.
ended 1-1 at fulltime but China triumphed on the penalties 4-3.
however, the result really works in Singapore's favour.
pit a country of 4Million with a country of 1.3Billion.
4,608,167 < 1,330,044,544 (on the more specific side)
the difference between talent pool of the 2 countries is really vast.
so, to all the Singaporeans who dismiss our national team at the mention of it, screw you all.

the Barclays Premier League (BPL) starts right today.
time to bid my farewells to 'dreadfully boring' weekend late nights.
:D
Everton vs Arsenal at 12.30am.

Jogging during late nights can only get better.
jog. rest. chat.
seems to be a formality every now and then.

great songs playing their way into my head recently:
- Too Close For Comfort by Mcfly
- A Daily Anthem by David Cook
- Life On The Moon by David Cook
- Starlight by Muse (mesmerised by the drumming)

Mind Your Fitness.

ON the bright side, had 'lunch' at school and had this SUPER 'un-fit' feeling.
thus, the word 'jog' comes to play.
had a FANTASTIC jog & workout with my dad right after.
could finally beat him at his own game. :D

SINGAPORE vs CHINA tmr 7.30pm.
national stadium.
get your ass down if you can. (:

As it gets closer and closer~ :DDDDD

August 9th.

On every August 9th,
here comes the time where every Singaporean's patriotic.
well, for most Singaporeans, maybe for least a day. (unlike me)
you'll see Singaporeans pouring out their love for their beloved country.
probably much more evident on Facebook, Twitter or whatever social networking sites you can find.

on a much positive note, my laptop's back and working like-never-before.
*long pause*
actually, not really.
graphics card changed from ATI to some intel thingy.
data's ALL gone, well, at least this was anticipated beforehand.

alright, just wanna wish Singapore a really Happy 44th Birthday!
school's out tomorrow too. :D

A Week To Forget.

It's been a pretty disastrous week for me.
YES, i used the word 'Disastrous'.
let me unravel the mystery behind this.

First thing of all, my 4-month old Lenovo laptop couldn't function at all.
was at school doing my stuff when the screen hanged.
waited a while before I did the regular by taking out the battery and putting back in. (who wouldn't?)
system rebooted and showed an 'error page' before even getting into the log-on screen.
couldn't do anything for the rest of that particular school day.
NOW, i know the importance of laptops in RP.
no laptop = don't bother coming to school
went to the IT helpdesk and was told they couldn't do anything about it.
turns out it was harddisk damage.
which also means all data would be lost even after I get it repaired.

Secondly, had a soccer session after school with my class buddies.
sounds fun & proper until the word 'injuries' was thrown into the cauldron.
several blisters appeared on my underfeet and toes and the worst of all,
my EVER-RECURRING back injury.
sharp pain fills up my body whenever i get up from any sitting position.
thank god it's getting much better now.

Thirdly, and it's official.
i've quited the table tennis team.
it's like deja vu all over again from the all-too-familiar secondary school days.
like what i have tried to emphasise since then, my REAL passion lies in soccer/football.
you may have tried to question my commitment but i wouldn't have anything to say except that i have made the wrong decision.

Fourthly, it lies in the Soccer department.
Kolo Toure, the Arsenal defender, has left for Manchester City for €16million.
he was the last surviving member of the Invincibles from the 2003/2004 season.
I have always admired his fighting spirit during his Arsenal days and was one of my favourite defenders in Arsenal.
it's really a pity that he had to leave.

Had cognitive module yesterday and it was OUT OF THE WORLD.
actually, it had nothing to do with the lesson.
the girls in our class put on make-up on Rendy, Rezal, Nadzir and ME.
MAKE UP YA KNOW! like what the heck.
all wee chuan's fault. HAHAHA.
pictures should be on Rebecca's blog?
just a couple of weeks more and there would no longer be W45B.
sadded.
